If you use a local AI, the entire workflow can stay on your Mac. If you connect a cloud AI such as Claude or another hosted model, the context it requests may be processed by that provider according to its own service and privacy terms. Noats doesn't put another cloud in the middle.

Which AI apps work with this?
Any client that can run an MCP server on your Mac. Noats includes guided setup for Claude Code, Claude Desktop, Cursor, Codex, Windsurf, and Gemini CLI, and any other compatible MCP client can connect directly to the command above.
Does Noats need to be open?
No. The MCP server reads the archive on your Mac directly, so the Noats app can be closed.
Does Noats upload my meeting archive?
No. Your archive remains stored on your Mac and the MCP server runs locally.If the AI you connect uses a cloud model, information it requests may be sent to that provider as part of using their service.
What can my AI change?
Nothing in Noats. MCP access is read-only. Your AI can search and quote your meetings but cannot edit or delete them.
Can it access my recordings?
No. The connector exposes notes and transcripts, not meeting audio.
Can I use it entirely offline?
Yes, when the AI you connect also runs locally. Cloud-based AI clients still require whatever network access their service normally needs.
What does it cost?
MCP access is included with Noats. We don't charge extra for access to your own meeting archive.
